　　With extreme excitement and long expectation, I began the trip of Dow Jones between Beijing and Hong Kong on the morning of 29th July 2008. During the following several days, I was fully attracted by the particular charm of Hong Kong, opening my mind to appreciate the special scenery and culture.
　　Hong Kong was one of the richest regions in China, characterized by its open-up economy and world famous international finance and trade centre. What impressed me most was its high efficiency and unique quick pace of life. The well equipped legal system restrained people’s behaviors completely. On arrival, we were told about the strictly stipulated laws and regulations here. For example, smoking and eating were forbidden in many public places, such as subway, cable cars and buses. Besides, smoking was not allowed in all edifices. Anyone who was caught smoking in these places would be fined for HK $5000.
　　Infrastructures for physical disabled people were all kept in good conditions in street, subway station, even carnie. Once in Disney, I was deeply moved by the scene --a staff helped a visitor in a wheel chair to sit on the carrousel preferentially through a special passage while others were all waiting in patience.
　　During the four days in Hong Kong, we visited the Ocean Park, Disneyland, and the Avenue of Stars and so on.
　　Ocean Park Hong Kong is a world-class theme park famous for marine life and animals. Some of the unique facilities include the Atoll Reef, Giant Panda Habitat, the Sea Jelly Spectacular, thrill rides and much more. Also we were surprised by the dolphin's excellent performances. At night, looking down from The Peak, we were amazed by the world-famous Victoria Harbour, Towering skyscrapers and spectacular city skyline.
On the last day of our journey in Hong Kong, we were so lucky to have the privilege to visit Dow Jones Newswires in Hong Kong .What’s more exiting was that Mr. Beveridge, Greater China Bureau Chief, gave us a lecture on how Dow Jones Newswires works. After that we had a free talk with Mr. Beveridge and Mrs. Leung, both of whom were quite amiable. From the conversation, we got insight into some issues on financial news, such as how to ensure the information offered be true and correct, what’s the essential quality for an excellent reporter. Afterwards, Mr. Dirk Beveridge awarded us the Letter of Merit which represented the brilliant performance during the competition in the Grand Ceremony.
　After that, we paid a visit to Sing Tao News Co. Ltd which was noble for its products-- Sing Tao News & The Standard. Sing Tao News was set up by Mr. Hu Wenhu in1938.It coincident that day is Sing Tao News’ 80-years anniversary. Wong Wan Fong, General Manager Content Sales, was very generous and gave us many instructive advices on how to plan our career. In a word, it’s my great honor to attend the activity which widened my horizon, enriched my experience and knowledge.
We all felt grateful to Xinhuaonline Company and Dow Jones Company for offering us the precious chance. Besides, I appreciated from heart for Mrs. Shang’s accompany and tend care all the way.
